About This Project
“Build Therefore Your Own World”, is artist Sam Durant’s eleventh major exhibition at Blum & Poe Los Angeles. Our team worked with the artist to create exact reproductions of historical artifacts including Henry David Thoreau’s Flute and Pencil, Jack Garrison’s walking stick, Ralph Waldo Emerson’s chair and Joan Wheatley’s desk. The replica’s were merged together in pairs, some cast in bronze and others were carved out of wood. Our team generated 3D models of the artifacts to create the intricate merging between the objects.
